The Role: Financial Planner

Our mission is to help millennials achieve their financial goals. Our users have questions about everything from paying down debt, to reducing their cell phone bills. We're looking for a Financial Planner to listen carefully to our users, understand their needs, and provide the right advice.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Helping users with questions about their financial lives, ranging from debt to saving, spending, or retirement.
  • Managing high-volume inbound support channels: you are part of the first line of defense in making sure our users receive the attention and care they need, in a timely manner. Main support channel is chat-based, with occasional phone support required.
  • Document topics in our internal support tools as they arise.
  • Build trust and rapport by keeping users in the loop and resolving issues quickly and thoroughly

Qualities

  • Knowledge of Personal Finance: you can confidently respond to questions about financial concepts across a wide range of topics.
  • Problem Solving: you are curious and ask the right questions to quickly solve problems and provide the right advice to users.
  • Organization: you can handle multiple users at once and see them through to completion.
  • Communication: you are a great writer, can adjust your tone and formality to fit the situation, and are empathetic and patient with people.
  • Collaborating: you have a unique insight to our users’ needs and work with our marketing, product and development teams to help inform, design and implement solutions.
